Clink Street

Based on the real-world Clink Street in London, this was a small art exercise in recreating real architecture using just stock Half-Life 2 assets. For this recreation I used a mix of different period photos and Google Maps - the result straddles the line between several time periods as the area has seen immense renovation over the years.

Clink Street itself has a rich history, being home to a prison (where the regional slang term "The Clink" comes from) for much of the middle ages and being used as a filming location for Doctor Who (The Talons of Weng-Chiang, 1976) and An American Werewolf in London (1981).
